Paul Gilbert is the Sole Director and shareholder of Macleod Corporation Pty Ltd, a boutique accounting practice based in Albany that specialises in the provision of independent audit services.
Paul has been in accounting public practise since 1988 and is a Registered Company Auditor, Certified Practising Accountant and holds both a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University.
Paul originally commenced his professional accounting career in 1988 in Albany gaining valuable audit and accounting experience before moving to Perth in 1992 and working for leading second tier accounting firms in their audit division.
Paul established the business Macleod Partners in 1998, located on Macleod Road in Applecross, providing audit and taxation services in partnership. The Macleod name has its origins from the location of the this first business premises.
In June 2000, Paul moved his business to 17 Ogilvie Road Mt Pleasant and practices as a sole practitioner under the Macleod Partners name until 2007.
Paul then moved back to Albany to take up an interest in the boat building business Westerberg Aluminium Boat Pty Ltd, an aluminium boatbuilding business, before returning to the audit profession in 2012.
